Step 2: Run Scans

Prev Next

Scrut automatically runs DAST scans on your target at the chosen frequency. However, you can also initiate a manual scan, as required.

  1. Click the target you’ve configured from the target list.

  2. Click Start Scan to begin the scan manually.

  3. The scans will run automatically in the background. The status tag shows the scan status in real-time.

Points to Note

  • The scan duration varies depending on several factors, including the target size, number of paths/pages discovered, and the complexity of the application.

  • Generally, quick scans take around 20 to 30 minutes to complete, while full scans take several hours.

  • The time taken to complete the scan is directly proportional to the volume of the application.

  • You can check the status of the scan on the Vulnerabilities → Targets page.

  • While the scan is in progress, you will not be able to edit the target details.
