Discover Vendors via Google Workspace

Who can use this feature

  • Supported on Foundation, Growth, and Scale plans

Follow these steps to connect Google Workspace to Scrut and automatically discover SSO applications as vendors.

Step 1: Integrate Google Workspace

Navigate to Risks → Vendors → Onboarding and click Integrate Now.

Alternatively, click the Integrations tab on the left navigation panel, search for Google Workspace and click Integrate.

Step 2: Review Discovered Applications

Once connected, Scrut automatically imports the applications authorized in your Google Workspace account. These appear on the Discovered from Integration page in Risk → Vendors → Onboarding, with the Source set to Google Workspace.

Review the imported applications and classify each one:

  • Click Mark as Vendor to add it to your official vendor list.

  • Click Not a Vendor to exclude it. It stays on this page for reference, but won't appear in your Vendor table.

To use the Google Workspace integration, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Vendor Module and open the Onboarding Tab.

  1. Click on Integrate Now.

  1. You will be redirected to the integration page.

  2. Search for Google Workspace in the Integrations Library.

  3. Click Integrate to connect with your Google Workspace.

  1. Once connected, Scrut will automatically import applications.

  2. Review the imported applications and determine whether to classify them as vendors or mark them as non-vendors, based on organizational needs.

Add as a Vendor

  1. Select the Add as a vendor option.

  1. The Add Vendor modal will open. Complete the necessary details and click Create.

  2. The created Vendor will be present under the Vendor list on the Vendor dashboard.

Marking 'Not a Vendor'

  1. Select the Not a vendor option.

  2. Mark as Not a Vendor modal will open. Enter the reason and click on Not a Vendor.
